Aquair Yacht Towed Turbine Generator Wind Conversion Kit

The wind conversion kit for the Aquair Yacht Towed Turbine Generator enables the generator to be used as a wind turbine generator when at anchor.

Components

• Mounting poles (top & bottom swivel poles or pole & pole mount assembly)
• Blades (6-blade wind turbine)
• Tailfin (direction fin)

The generator is hung from a halyard, and the top mounting pole is attached to a forestay or backstay. The lower mounting pole is tied down to a secure location on deck. The unit now functions as a wind generator.

Please note the following

• When mounted in this way, it is assumed that the boat will be anchored and will be facing into the wind.
• There is limited ability of the generator to swivel into the wind.
• The wind conversion kit is not intended for use when underway.
• You'll also need an extension cable with one inline plug and socket to match up to the deck plug used when the system is being towed. The cable length and gauge depends on the layout of your boat.
