January 18, 2016. SunEdison recently announced the signing of solar PPA’s with 25 schools in California involving construction of solar car parking canopies.
December 24, 2015. Australians wanting to be among the first to acquire a revolutionary Tesla Energy Powerwall home battery system are now able to pre-order via SunEdison Australia subsidiary, Energy Matters.
December 21, 2015. SunEdison President and Chief Executive Officer, Ahmad Chatila, has applauded the recent passing of the USA’s Investment Tax Credit incentive extension.
December 14, 2015. SunEdison has signed a 10-year agreement with Ontario’s Independent Electricity System Operator for the supply 5 megawatts of battery storage.
December 10, 2-15. SunEdison has announced new major solar projects for the City of San Diego and Brockton Housing Authority in Massachusetts.
November 25, 2015. Nine solar power stations totaling 6.2MW (DC) capacity will be build by SunEdison to power government facilities in Los Angeles County under a 20 year power purchase agreement.
November 23, 2015. 18 California schools will be supplied with solar power sourced from 9 megawatts of SunEdison projects; providing electricity bill savings in excess of USD $30 million over the next 20 years.
November 10, 2015. SunEdison has completed a 942 kilowatt DC solar facility in Peterborough, New Hampshire; USA. The clean power station will save the town a quarter of a million dollars on electricity over the next twenty years.
November 3, 2015. SunEdison has announced the signing of an agreement to supply solar electricity to the New York data center of business and financial news goliath, Bloomberg.
October 20, 2015. SunEdison is again the preferred solar power supplier for an expansion of the MASH2 community solar bulk buy program; which kicks off in Macedon Ranges Shire tomorrow.
October 15, 2015. SunEdison has commenced construction on another significant solar schools project, this time in the U.S state of Maryland. The company also recently completed a large solar array for a wastewater treatment plant in Minnesota.
October 6, 2015. SunEdison has launched its low-cost, high efficiency SE-P265NPB solar panel, which will be available exclusively in Australia.
September 30, 2015. SunEdison Australia is a Silver Sponsor of All-Energy this year and will be showcasing the new SunEdison 265W P-series panel.
September 29, 2015. SunEdison has completed another solar car parking canopy project; this time for the City of Fremont in California.
September 25, 2015. A SunEdison-sponsored event will see former Australian of the Year, Professor Tim Flannery, speaking to more than 400 people at a sold-out at Castlemaine Town Hall in Victoria.
September 17, 2015. Nine homes in California will have advanced battery systems supplied by SunEdison, Inc. for a project led by the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI)
September 17, 2015. SunEdison Australia is providing engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services for what will be Australia’s largest commercial solar rooftop project.
September 15, 2015. Tathra Community Solar Farm is a finalist in the NSW government’s Green Globe Awards. Engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services for the project were provided by Energy Matters (now SunEdison Australia).
September 16, 2015. SunEdison announces a partnership that will see 11 solar projects built in Pima County, Arizona; plus the company’s first community solar project in Massachusetts
September 14, 2015. SunEdison supplied solar panels and financing for a solar power station that is now generating electricity for the community of Columbia, Maryland.
September 9, 2015. SunEdison and Dominion have teamed up on the 265 megawatt Three Cedards solar project in Utah; which will generate enough clean electricity to power more than 36,000 homes.
September 2, 2015. SunEdison has closed financing and begun construction of a 1MW solar farm at Karratha Airport. The facility will be Western Australia’s largest airport solar power station and will feature an Australian-first – Cloud Predictive Technology (CPT)
August 20, 2015. SunEdison has completed construction of the 6 megawatt AC Bella Vista solar facility that will generate approximately 14 gigawatt-hours of clean electricity annually
August 24, 2015. SunEdison has commenced construction of the 156 megawatt Comanche Solar project in Colorado; one of the company’s biggest projects to date.
August 17, 2015. A 3.2 megawatt solar parking canopy at Bristol Community College’s Fall River Campus will generate more than 34 million kilowatt hours of clean electricity annually
Augst 13, 2015. SunEdison announces the signing of a joint venture agreement with Dominion for the 420 megawatt DC Four Brothers solar project in Utah.
August 11, 2015. SunEdison, Inc. is now the the Official Solar Energy Partner of NASCAR Green.
August 10, 2015. SunEdison delivered a record 404 MW of renewable energy capacity during Q2 2015 – up 186 MW on the second quarter of 2014.
August 7, 2015. SunEdison has inked a 20 year power purchase agreement with the Rialto Unified School District in California for 8.4 megawatts of solar power.
August 6, 2015. SunEdison has closed financing and commenced construction on the 300MW South Plains II wind farm in Texas
July 29, 2015. SunEdison has commenced construction of the 110-megawatt Quilapilun solar power plant; the first project for the company in Santiago.
July 24, 2015. A deal between SunEdison and Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited will see SunEdison providing 180 megawatts of utility-scale solar for New Delhi electricity customers
July 22, 2015. SunEdison announces it has acquired the UK’s Mark Group, a PPA wind power deal with HP and a 4.1 megawatt solar power plant completed in the USA.
July 21, 2015. SunEdison has announced an agreement for the acquisition of Vivint Solar for USD $2.2 billion.
July 16, 2015. Advanced Microgrid Solutions and SunEdison have inked a deal to deliver 50 megawatts of energy storage for Southern California Edison.
July 7, 2015. SunEdison’s yieldco, TerraForm Power, has signed an agreement to acquire net ownership of 930 megawatts of wind farms.
July 3, 2015. SunEdison and Gamesa have announced the signing of an MoU that will see up to 1 gigawatt of wind capacity developed globally by 2018
July 2, 1015. SunEdison starts construction of the 185 Bingham Wind project in Maine, USA and inaugurates a 50MW solar farm in India
June 29, 2015. SunEdison and its yieldco, TerraForm Power, Inc. have completed acquisition of Atlantic Power’s 521-megawatt portfolio of wind farms. Terraform has also recently acquired additional solar assets.
June 25, 2015. SunEdison has announced a partnership with Green Charge Networks to deliver solar plus energy storage to commercial and municipal customers throughout California. The company also announced completion of a canal top solar project in India.
June 22, 2015. New South Wales Minister for Industry, Resources and Energy; Anthony Roberts, as welcomed SunEdison establishing its Commercial/Utility Solar Sales and Finance headquarters in the state.
June 16, 2015. The world’s largest renewables developer is about to get even bigger – SunEdison has signed agreements acquire two more wind and solar companies.
June 12, 2015. The SunEdison Australia team is preparing to add residential energy storage options to their solar product lineup.
June 9, 2015. SunEdison Australia has partnered with Hub Foundation for MASH 2 – a project bringing discounted solar power systems to residents of Mount Alexander Shire in Victoria
June 1, 2015. SunEdison signs agreements with five municipalities on Long Island to build seven solar power plants and also announces completion of Utah’s largest operating solar power plant.
May 25, 2015. SunEdison has been awarded multiple new contracts to construct large rooftop solar arrays in California.
May 8, 2015. Among many significant achievements during the last week or so, SunEdison has been awarded a major solar PV project in South Africa. Also details of a major round of acquisitions and new solar plants in Canada.
April 23, 2015. SunEdison will develop a 2.6 megawatt solar farm on an old landfill site in Winchendon, Massachusetts; plus the company’s ongoing success in the UK.
April 20, 2015. Macalester College in Saint Paul, Minnesota expects to save millions in power bills in the years ahead through a solar energy agreement with SunEdison, Inc. Also, details of the appointment of Cathy Zoi as Chief Executive Officer responsible for developing SunEdison’s rural electric utility company.
April 13, 2015. Late last week SunEdison signed agreements to construct three new utility-scale solar power plants in southern Utah.
April 9, 2015. SunEdison starts ground-breaking for a 22.6 megawatt solar farm project in Southern Utah, plus provides details of recent awards.
April 6, 2015. SunEdison has announced two of its newest solar projects in the US state of Maryland are now operational. Both facilities have been constructed under 20 year power purchase agreements and Maryland’s Aggregated Net Metering Program
April 2, 2015. SunEdison and TerraForm Power announce the interconnection of four solar farms in North Carolina, plus details of four new solar plants to be constructed for the City of Long Beach, California.
March 27, 2015. SunEdison, Inc. has announced intentions of purchasing up to 1,000 vanadium flow batteries from Imergy Power Systems. These will store store electricity produced by the company’s rural electrification and mini-grid projects in India.
March 19, 2015. SunEdison will build new solar power generation facilities in West Texas to enable the City of Georgetown to go 100% renewable; plus two SunEdison projects recognized at IJGlobal Americas Awards ceremony.
March 13, 2015 – SunEdison announces it recently secured non-recourse project financing for a 9.6 megawatt solar farm under construction in Japan.
March 6, 2015. SunEdison, Inc. announces the acquisition of elements of Solar Grid Storage, a US-based energy storage company that focuses on projects ranging from 150kW to 10MW.
February 20, 2015. The 81.6 MW Regulus solar facility in Kern County, California, is now operational, plus other recent news from SunEdison, including the completion of an array for AT&T
February 11, 2015. SunEdison’s 22 megawatt distributed rooftop solar project for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power will be carried out with a local partner.
February 5, 2015. SunEdison, Inc. has announced the completion of a solar array that will generate clean power for Brakes India Limited (BIL).
January 28, 2015. Ahmad Chatila, CEO of SunEdison, Inc. met with US President Barack Obama and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi.
January 22, 2015. SunEdison has announced it’s now the exclusive solar provider for the 250 member school districts of California’s School Project for Utility Rate Reduction (SPURR); plus other recent news from the company.
January 14, 2015. SunEdison has announced the signing of an agreement with the state government of Karnataka in India to develop five gigawatts of solar energy and wind power in the state over the next five years. Also announced were details of a partnership with OMC Power to develop 5,000 solar projects throughout rural India over the next three to five years.
