A battery combiner is a device that allows you to charge two batteries, but when the charging stops, the relay opens so that each battery operates independently. A battery combiner is perfect for situations where you may want to charge a starting battery and a deep cycle battery while travelling, but to isolate the starter battery when the engine is switched off.
