Energy Matters Secures Major Government Solar Panel Tender
Melbourne, Victoria, December 23, 2009. Melbourne based national solar power solutions provider
has announced their successful bid to supply solar panels to the New South Wales Government.
The company was notified by the NSW State Contracts board that Energy Matters will be the sole provider of monocrystalline solar panels for all regions of New South Wales for all Government projects and departments (excluding DET) for a period of 3 years.
More than two dozen of Australia's leading solar power companies competed to secure rights of supply in eight different solar power equipment categories.
According to Energy Matters Managing Director and co-founder Jeremy Rich, the competition was intense. "We were up against some very big names in the Australian solar industry, including multi-nationals; so we're extremely pleased with this outcome."
"There was a rigorous authentication process - the NSW State Government didn't just want the best prices, but also the best quality components and the ability to deliver them. This tender not only means substantial business for us in terms of revenue, but equally as important, it is recognition of our ongoing efforts to excel at all levels of our operations.
