Energy Matters Offers Extended REC Solar Panel Warranty
by Energy Matters

REC has launched a certification program including warranty extension for
modules installed by suitably qualified REC Solar Professionals.
Energy
Matters is the first Australian company to gain the accreditation and able
to offer the additional product warranty.
REC developed the Solar Professionals program in consultation with solar
installers. The qualification offers installers high-level training and
additional benefits that can be passed onto customers.
For example, each qualifying REC Solar Professional is able to offer a 12 year
product warranty to customers purchasing REC modules. This an added two years to
the standard 10 year REC product warranty - and at no extra cost to the
customer. Warranty on REC's Peak Energy Series solar panels also includes a 25
year linear performance warranty.
"With our unique REC Solar Professional Program we help installers to
deliver high quality solar installations while providing them with the tools
needed to grow their business in addition to a professional network," said
Luc Graré, Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing Cells & Modules, REC
Solar.
Energy Matters was also the first company in Australia to supply award-winning
REC
solar panels to the local
home
solar power market. A
multiple
award-winner itself; Energy Matters has since installed thousands of the
modules around Australia and REC panels are becoming an increasingly common
sight on rooftops throughout the nation.
Energy Matters was the winner of the REC Partner Award in 2011 and last year,
REC announced the partnership with Energy Matters and its sister company
Apollo
Energy had been
promoted
to Platinum level - the first companies in the Asia-Pacific to receive the
status.
Founded in Norway in 1996, REC has evolved into an international solar company
employing about 3,700 people worldwide. The company generated more than NOK 13 billion
(AUD 2.9 billion) in revenue in 2011.
