Queensland Sunshine Coast Apartments Go Solar
Four 6kW solar power systems have been installed on the penthouses of Mooloolaba's 'Beachcomber
On The Spit' luxury apartments.
Installed by Evolution Solar Sunshine Coast using components sourced from Energy
' sister company, Apollo
, the project was a challenging one given the nature of the rooftop
Due to the height involved and access issues, a crane was required to lift the

Each system consists of 24 REC 250W Peak Energy Series modules with a 5kW SMA Sunny Boy

During the project, other work was being performed the penthouse units; which
added extra complexity. Mother Nature also threw in a few unwelcome surprises.
"The new roofing job was delayed slightly with all the rain and flooding

had to upgrade the four sub-boards and do pre-wiring as the roof was being
constructed," says the company.
