Plasmatronics Dingo Shunt Adapter

Dingo Shunt Adapter

The Dingo Shunt Adapter enables the use of an external shunt with the Dingo 20/20 regulator (not for use other Plasmatronics products). An external shunt is required when charge or load current is likely to exceed 20 amps.

A shunt allows high current flows to and from devices such as inverters and battery chargers to be accurately read. The through the use of the DSA, the Dingo 20/20 regulator interprets this current flow as charge or discharge, and therefore can determine the battery state of charge. Battery State of charge is then displayed on the Dingo 20/20 as an easy to read percentage - a simple and accurate reference.

Up to 4 shunts can be used in combination with the DSA allowing the summative logging of various sources of charge or load - typically only one shunt is required. The Dingo, DSA and other accessories can be connected in any order.
