– Energy Matters has been announced a winner in this year’s Deloitte Technology Fast 50 awards program, as well as the runner up in the program’s Leadership Award category. The program ranks 50 of Australia’s most rapidly growing public or private technology companies, based on percentage revenue growth over three years. Read more.
   
– The ACT Labor Government has tabled legislation to support the development of large scale solar power facilities in Canberra. Minister for Environment and Sustainable Development, Simon Corbell says the Electricity Feed In Bill 2011 is the first time a feed in tariff for commercial scale solar power has been proposed by an Australian government.. – The World Bank has announced it will step in to help Morocco finance the 500 megawatt Ouarzazate Concentrated Solar Power Plant. The project will be key to the country’s plan of achieving 2000 megawatts of installed solar energy capacity by 2020. Read more.
