Energy Matters Gains ‘Aurora Preferred’ Status

Tasmania's Aurora Energy has accepted national solar provider Energy Matters into Aurora's Preferred Renewable Energy Supplier Scheme.

Tasmania’s Aurora Energy has accepted national solar provider Energy Matters into Aurora’s Preferred Renewable Energy Supplier Scheme.

Energy Matters joins an existing handful of providers in Tasmania granted entry into the Scheme.

According to Aurora, all suppliers are carefully selected for their expertise and ability to offer a full range of renewable energy services;  including sales, installation, co-ordination and management of all paperwork.

“Aurora Preferred installers and contractors have been accredited by us to ensure that they offer the very best service, installation and advice there is around,” states the company’s web site. All Preferred Renewable Energy Suppliers are backed by the Aurora AOK Customer Service Guarantee.

Energy Matters CEO Jeremy Rich says joining the scheme represents another major milestone for his company.

“We’ve had a solid presence in Tasmania for some years and have installed many wind and solar power systems in the Apple Isle during that time. Jason Stewart and the team travel all across Tasmania; from the West Coast to Flinders Island, to provide every customer unrivaled service.”

“Acceptance into Aurora’s scheme is formal recognition of our team’s efforts to date and I know they are looking forward to delivering more of the same passion for wind and solar, superb service and helping more Tasmanians slash their electricity bills.”

Mr. Rich says as Tasmania is Australia’s most southern state, it receives the most sun hours during summer. Long sun hours and slightly cooler temperatures are ideal conditions to be generating solar electricity and earning credits on power bills that can be used to offset expensive winter heating costs. Wind power solutions are also very viable in Tasmania, particularly for off grid applications.

Aurora Energy generates, distributes and sells electricity in Tasmania, exports electricity to the mainland and provides wholesale telecommunications services using optical fibre networks. The company is owned by the Tasmanian Government and employs around 1100 people.
