The Sanyo HIT (Heterojunction with Intrinsic Thin layer) solar module is made of a thin mono crystalline silicon wafer surrounded by ultra-thin amorphous silicon layers. This results in several advantages such as maintaining high performance at high temperatures compared to conventional silicon solar cells and being able to install more capacity within the limited area while being environmentally friendly.
