SunLock Base Rail 3410mm

SunLock Solar Panel Frame Mounting System - Base Rail 3410mm

SunLock Base Rails (3410 mm) are the main supporting structure used in the SunLock framing system. Used in a parallel pair, the rails allow each solar panel to be clamped at four contact points for a highly secure fit. Additionally, the rail also supports roof fixings at any point along the frames length, allowing the installer to fit the framing to bearers at any interval without requiring time consuming adjustment.

The SunLock Base Rail (3410 mm) is sold as an individual item (not as a pair). This allows flexibility in installs where system size, separate rows, or unusual panel dimensions require rails to be cut and joined using a SunLock mounting rail joiner to customise the total rail length.

Here's three of many good reasons to choose the SunLock solar panel mounting system!

Australian Made - SunLock is an Australian designed and manufactured solar panel mounting system. Utilising custom designed and built aluminium extrusions and components, the SunLock system’s design greatly streamlines construction and improves frame strength in comparison to other systems.

Adaptability - SunLock’s significantly higher strength-to-weight ratio allows more efficient use and greater spans. Its highly versatile design offers adjustability and expandability to suit any job size.

Durability - Made entirely from aluminium and stainless steel, SunLock framing is suitable for long-term installation in all environments. SunLock framing is also backed by a 10 year warranty and is fully compliant with the Australian/New Zealand standard on wind actions AS/NZS 1170.2.2002, making it suitable for a wide variety of building types and climatic zones.

Ultimate Wind Load Capacity

Structural design analysis confirms the following ultimate wind loads supported by SunLock framing.

Fixing centres Ultimate Wind Load Capacity - Kpa | kg/m²
mm 600mm SunLock Rail Spacing 750mm SunLock Rail Spacing
650 22.9 | 2335 18.37 |1873
850 13.4 | 1366 10.7 | 1091
1000 9.7 | 989 7.7 | 785
1200 6.8 | 693 5.4 | 550

Maximum Serviceable Wind Loading

The table below describes the maximum serviceable wind loading that SunLock rails can support in reference to a maximum deflection of span/200 (Span/200 is considered the maximum acceptable deflection limit for SunLock rails supporting solar panels).

Fixing centres Max Deflection - mm Max Service Wind Load - Kpa | kg/m²
mm L/200 600mm SunLock Rail Spacing 750mm SunLock Rail Spacing
650 3.5 15.3 | 1560 12.2 | 1244
