Sanyo eneloop 4 cell fast charger inc. 2 AA batteries

For the first time in battery history, it has been possible to combine the advantages of rechargeable batteries with the advantages of disposable batteries. This new kind of battery was developed by Sanyo, the worldwide leader in rechargeable batteries and since being put on the european market in 2006, it has been the most successful new battery ever put on the market.

In the past, disposable and rechargable betteries have had their own individual advantages but they have been impossible to combine. The main fault of conventional rechargable batteries is the high self-discharge rate which requires the batteries to be charged very often. The eneloop range however, can be charged and then stored for months while still retaining almost full capacity and performance. This means that the battery life will be longer, and there is less need for constant recharging, thus making the eneloop more like the more common disposable alkaline batteries with the bonus of being able to recharge them. Once charged, eneloop keeps its charge even if you store it for 6 or 12 months. ( 90 per cent of the charge after 6 months, 85 per cent after 12 months ). For a rechargeable battery this is a revolutionary advantage.

The eneloop battery also has higher performance compared to normal alkaline batteries or rechargable batteries, it can be charged approximately 1000 times which delivers excellent long term performance while saving your money and protecting the environment.
