Enphase Energy M215 215 Watt Micro-Inverter
The third-generation Enphase M215 microinverter is the worlds most efficient device of its kind. Enphase Energy call it the "most important technology breakthrough solar has ever seen."
A major advantage of micro-inverters is that unlike in a solar array using a traditional string inverter that has a single point of inverter failure, the failure of single micro-inverter means only the output of the module it is associated with is lost.
The M215 delivers an astounding 96% CEC efficiency. Offering a single-bolt mounting bracket and installed directly under the solar module, this lightweight micro-inverter allows for easy installation and can be used with solar panels rated at up to 270 watts.
The M215 comes with free lifetime access to Enlighten web-based software; which provides system owners and installers with detailed performance information and automated alerts. Issues can be solved via remote troubleshooting.
These units have certainly captured the attention of the solar industry - Enphase Energy shipped an incredible 315,000 M215 micro-inverters just in the first quarter of 2013.
Enphase 215 Watt Microinverter Features
- 25 year limited warranty
- Low-voltage operation capability
- Works with 60-cell modules only
- Supports low-light and low-voltage operation
- Innovative cabling for fast and easy installation
