Here at Energy Matters, we are committed to providing all of the information and resources people need to transition to renewable energy solutions – in particular, solar panels for their home or business.
But this mission is bigger than simply selling solar PV systems. It is about creating a more sustainable world, a more equitable world and a happier world for everyone that lives in it.
That is why we created the Energy Matters Foundation, which is our commitment to a better future. Hand in hand with all of our customers, we can make a difference.
The team at Energy Matters has identified some of the leading causes around the world and here in Australia, and set up funds to help assist people in these categories.
How can you help? Simply by using any of our services or purchasing any of our products, you will trigger a donation that will make a real difference to a person in need around the world.
Make a difference with us
The Energy Matters Foundation has already helped plenty of people, and now you can help us donate to the following causes:
Clean drinking water: Did you know that around 2.1 billion around the world don’t have access to a clean water supply? We are looking to change that with your support. Every time a single person follows us on social media, we provide a day of access to clean drinking water for a person through solar-powered reverse osmosis.
Domestic and family violence: The statistics are sobering – one in six women (1.5 million) and one in 16 men in Australia have experienced violence at the hands of a current or former partner. Of those women, 54 per cent have experienced domestic and family violence on a repeated basis. When you leave a positive Google review for Energy Matters, we will reach out to a woman in the at-risk category and provide information and support.
Energy solutions: There are plenty of electricity retailers out there offering renewable energy sources, sustainably sourced power, and offsets for a greener future. But:
- If you switch your gas or electricity to one of the Energy Matters providers, we will invest in 1sqm of rainforest protection.
- If you undertake a bill comparison for your electricity or gas (or both) then we will provide a day’s worth of grain seeds to help feed a child in Malawi.
- Then if you request a quote for solar solutions for your home or business, we will provide two days of solar power to a person around the world who otherwise wouldn’t be able to access it.
Energy Matters Marketplace: We offer a range of sustainable products that help you harness the power of the sun for a range of purposes, including lighting your garden and ensuring you have all the energy you need when you are travelling away for holiday.
Purchase any product from our Marketplace and we will plant five trees in India to increase forest cover.
