ACT Solar Buyers Group Free Information Sessions

In addition to current solar rebates, participating in a solar buyers group can save home owners even more money on a home solar power system. Following the success of a buyers group in the nation's capital last year, Energy Matters has a new ACT buyers group taking advantage of the current favourable market conditions.

UPDATE : March 1. Our ACT solar buyers group information session held on the weekend was an amazing success and we thank everyone who attended.  If you weren’t able to attend the session and live in the ACT, it’s not too late to get involved and save big on a solar power system for your home or business – but you will need to act quickly! Call our hotline on 1300 727 151 and ask about our March 2010 ACT Buyers Group special offer.

In addition to current solar rebates, participating in a solar buyers group can save home owners even more money on a home solar power system.

By collaborating with friends, neighbours and colleagues within a local area, home owners can form a solar buyers group that increases collective buying power in order to get better pricing.

Some solar power companies also create buyers group, with national provider Energy Matters among them.

Following the success of a buyers group in the nation’s capital last year, Energy Matters has a new ACT buyers group taking advantage of the current favourable market conditions.

Free information sessions regarding the Energy Matters ACT Solar Buyers Group will be held this Sunday, 28 February 2010, to answer questions and the company will be offering very special pricing on the day.

These information sessions are particularly well timed given the ACT government could possibly reduce the Territory’s solar feed in tariff soon. A draft recommendation from the Independent Competition and Regulatory Commission has advised the premium rate paid under the ACT’s solar feed in tariff program should be dropped from 50.5 cents to 37 cents per kilowatt hour for new systems connected after June this year.

By acquiring a system very soon, home owners can be assured of receiving the higher feed in tariff rate.

The free information sessions this Sunday, 28 Feb 2010, will be held at:

Southside: 10.30am – 12.00 pm, The Burns Club, 8 Kett St Kambah

Northside: 2.00pm – 3.30pm, Belconnen Premier Inn, 110 Benjamin Way, Belconnen
