A message from Roshan

I have been absolutely loving where Energy Matters has taken me, and have been so excited to see each episode come together. Episode 3 was no exception and incredible services and products were showcased for you, the Australian public, to get a look at solutions available that you may never have considered before.

Momentum Energy’s Virtual Solar Sharing is a service available for Australian businesses across many states and one that I had personally never heard of before. Walking the length of the Brisbane International Cruise Terminal’s carpark was breathtaking. The 800 kW solar farm sitting above the parked cars was awe inspiring. Knowing that the excess solar generated is now accessible to the Port’s other sites was so inspiring.

James’ visit to the offices of Careers For Purpose was fantastic. Teresa and the team are delivering a service that the industry desperately needs. Finding the right people for critical positions is paramount. The sustainability and environmental sectors are growing and in desperate need of talented individuals with strong values.

Travelling to China to visit the manufacturing facilities of Redx was incredibly fun and eye opening! The team in Australia and China work tirelessly to develop and refine inverter and battery technology. Seeing how important the human factor is and how it mixes with robotics and automation was truly fascinating.

Jon Dee is a true Aussie legend and seeing the simple steps he take to make his home more energy efficient has inspired me to do the same in my own home. In fact, the AIKO solar panels powering his home are also now powering mine! The ABC technology is really second to none.

I can’t believe we’re almost at the halfway mark of season 1 of Energy Matters! Episode 4 will no doubt pack a powerful punch! See you next week.
