Tasmania’s favourite agricultural fair, AgFest, is on this week in Launceston from Thursday 5 May until Saturday 7 May, 2011 and Energy Matters will be exhibiting at the event.

Energy Matters will be located at stand N34 on North Street, showcasing its commercial and residential solar and wind power installation capabilities.

City dwellers, suburban households, farming families and those living in rural regions of Tasmania are increasingly embracing wind and solar energy to meet their electricity needs. The Energy Matters team will be providing free information on these technologies as well as all the latest information on government rebates and other incentives for solar power for Tasmanian residents and businesses.

Since it commenced in 1983, Agfest has grown to attract over 600 exhibitors and over 67,000 patrons annually and is now considered a major event on  Tasmania’s calendar. The event was established as a means of funding the Rural Youth Organisation of Tasmania Inc. and Agfest contributes approximately $25+ million to the Tasmanian economy

This year’s event features a variety of exhibitors showcasing products and services from alternative energy to farm equipment, as well as shearing competitions, working sheep dog trials, the Unique Taste Pavilion and a Rural Youth fashion parade.

AgFest will be held at the Rural Youth Park, on Oaks Road between Carrick and Bracknell, south-west of Launceston in Tasmania. Gates are open from 8am until 5pm daily, so drop by and have a chat with the Energy Matters Tasmania team to discuss custom solar and wind power options to suit your needs.
