National solar solutions provider Energy Matters has been announced a winner in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 2011 awards and also a winner in the program's Leadership Award category.

National solar solutions provider Energy Matters has been announced a winner in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 2011 awards and also a winner in the program’s Leadership Award category.

The Deloitte Technology Fast 50 program ranks 50 of Australia’s most rapidly growing public or private technology companies, based on percentage revenue growth over three years (2009 to 2011).

“This year’s Technology Fast 50 winners are an inspiration for the way they have embraced change, adopted new technologies and brought innovative solutions to the marketplace,” said  Deloitte’s program leader, Josh Tanchel.

“We are enormously proud of the growth of Australia’s technology companies and believe the industry has every opportunity to compete with the world’s best technology players.”

The Leadership recognition is awarded to companies in the Technology Fast 50 with revenues in excess of $50 million. Achieving $50 million revenue status is a significant achievement in itself says Deloitte and was also the threshold needed to make this year’s winners’ list. Energy Matters was second in this category, having experienced 379.86% growth.

The Australian program is part of the global Fast 500 program Deloitte runs in tandem with countries including the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and China. Now in its 11th year, the program is sponsored by the company’s Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) global industry group and includes all related industry sectors.

Deloitte provides audit, tax, consulting, and financial advisory services to public and private clients in more than 150 countries and has a staff of approximately 182,000 professionals globally.

Energy Matters is one of Australia’s fastest growing solar companies and provides a wealth of information on solar power and renewable energy via its web site at www.energymatters.com.au. The 100% Australian owned and operated private company was founded in 2005 in suburban Melbourne, when its founders decided to rise to the challenge that “nobody can sell solar panels online”.
