The MG4 Has Officially Unveiled in Australia

The automotive industry has been undergoing a transformative shift towards electric vehicles (EVs) in recent years. Consumers are becoming increasingly aware of the environmental benefits of EVs, and automakers are racing to meet the demand for affordable and reliable electric vehicles. In Australia, the latest addition to the EV market is the MG4, which was recently unveiled with the promise of low pricing and efficient performance.

MG Motor has been making a name for itself in the Australian market with its range of affordable and reliable vehicles. The company has announced last Friday at Fully Charged Live in Sydney, NSW, the upcoming release of the MG4, a compact electric vehicle that promises to be one of the most affordable EVs on the market.

Take a closer look at the two MG4 models

Although the MG4 has been formally unveiled in Australia, the price was kept a secret at this weekend’s Fully Charged Live exhibition. How close to a $40,000 price tag the car will have is uncertain.

There were two MG4 models that could be seen in person at the exhibition. While the premium model had a long-range battery, the other had a battery pack with a standard range.

The extended version has a larger 64 kWh battery pack compared to the standard version’s smaller 51 kWh battery pack.

The MG4 was unveiled on Friday night by Fully Charged founder Robert Llewellyn and MG Motor CEO Peter Ciao. The MG4 is known as the “bargain of the year” in overseas countries like the UK.

For a hatchback, the back seat did provide adequate head and leg room, and the boot was also on par with hatchbacks currently on the market.

In terms of charging, the CCS port was present and, according to ev-database, is capable of 135 kW of fast charging.

The MG4 dual-motor version is expected to be equipped with a powerful electric motor on each axle, allowing for improved acceleration and handling. This would make the car an ideal choice for drivers looking for a sportier electric vehicle with advanced performance capabilities.
