Powerwave: Australia Backed Solar Brand

Powerwave is a 100% Australian-owned, independent solar brand backed by Tradezone – Australia’s largest online electrical wholesaler. Both organisations are part of the Kingston Group of Companies with a Head Office on the Gold Coast.

Powerwave is the culmination of over 35 years of business and product evolution by the Kingston Group.

Offering solar power innovation on home soil

The vision for Powerwave was to provide an Australian range of solar products as an alternative to international choices on the market. This gives retailers, installers and the end consumer peace of mind that a local team and support resources are standing by for the duration of the product’s life.

Unfortunately, within the solar industry, countless distributors, manufacturers and installers have gone out of business. Buying a product that is backed by a large, established family-owned local company removes the risk of investing in a long term asset. Customers can be confident that if anything does arise in years to come, Tradezone and Powerwave will still be here to support them.

The cornerstone of the Powerwave brand, like Tradezone and the Kingston Group, is a very strong commitment to caring for their customers and suppliers alike.

Why choose Powerwave?

Looking ahead to the future

Powerwave’s goal over the coming months and years is to continue to grow the brand nationally through new distribution centres located in cities around Australia and build up the companies staff to over 200 employees by 2021.

New product lines are also being planned for release in the coming months to further expand on the already wide range of solar and electrical innovations.

One of the current Powerwave solar panels available is the Twin Power 330w Split-cell Black Frame Mono Perc panel. This power class is currently the most popular in the market for residential spaces.

As the trend in larger solar systems for residential use continues to grow, Powerwave is focused on adapting to market needs and will move into the 350-370w Power class in the near future.
