The company has officially received both the Australian Grid Connection Certification and the Switch Matching Certification for its S6-EH3P(12-20)K-H-AU series hybrid inverter. Issued by world-renowned testing and certification organisation TÜV SÜD, these approvals confirm full compliance with Australia’s newest technical standards and open the door to future market growth.
The certification ceremony took place at TÜV SÜD’s Guangzhou office, attended by key representatives from Solis, Certification & Compliance Solutions (CCS), and TÜV SÜD. This achievement reinforces Solis’ commitment to delivering safe, reliable, and future-ready technology for Australian homes and businesses.
Meeting Australia’s new “double threshold” standards
Australia continues to lead the world in rooftop solar adoption, and with battery storage on the rise, regulators are lifting the bar on technical standards. Two major requirements will soon apply to all inverters entering the Australian market:
Grid Connection Certification (AS/NZS 4777.2:2020+A1:2021+A2:2024)
- Effective 23 August 2025
- All inverters listed with the Clean Energy Council must comply with these updated standards to ensure safe and stable integration with the grid.
Switch Matching Certification (AS 60947.3:2023)
- Effective 3 November 2025
- This standard verifies the durability and safety of the built-in DC switch under varying operating conditions, reducing the risk of faults and improving long-term stability.
“Both certifications are critical,” emphasised Billy Qiu, Senior Manager at TÜV SÜD. “Grid connection is the ‘entry ticket,’ and switch matching is the ‘on-the-ground guarantee.’ Products that fail to meet these standards will not be allowed to connect to the Australian grid or qualify for subsidies.”
With both certifications secured ahead of the deadline, Solis not only meets the latest requirements but also demonstrates proactive leadership in compliance, safety, and innovation.
