A series of events over the next ten days will inform households and businesses in the Macedon Ranges Shire in Victoria about the MASH2 community solar panels bulk-buy program.
Castlemaine-based non profit group Hub Foundation‘s MASH2 initiative is offering deeply-discounted, high quality solar power systems to help households and businesses in the region slash their electricity bills and carbon emissions.
The MASH2 program resulted in more than 300 households in neighbouring Mt. Alexander Shire installing solar power systems past year. Systems under the MASH2 initiative will be supplied by Energy Matters’ parent company, SunEdison; which has been involved with similar solar panel bulk-buy programs in other parts of Australia.
The MASH2 solar bulk-buy program has received strong support from Macedon Ranges Mayor, Jennifer Anderson.

These events are a great opportunity for residents to learn more about going solar, gain expert advice and access the discounted community bulk-buy offers. There’s no need to book ahead, so just turn up.
There will be an additional benefit for the Macedon Ranges Shire from the program – a free solar panel system will be installed on a community building in the region once 50 installations have been completed.

The Macedon Ranges is located within an hour’s drive of Melbourne. Its population of just over 44,000 is spread across nine towns and a number of smaller settlements; with the largest towns being Gisborne, Kyneton, Romsey and Woodend.
