This year’s Tasmania’s Agfest is so much more than tractors and working sheep dog trials – there’s something for everyone.
Agfest 2009 was a great success with over 70,000 patrons attending over 3 days, 6,000 more than in 2008. This year the event is expected to attract even more interest with over 700 exhibitors, fashion parades, a fine food pavilion and technologies including solar power being showcased.
City dwellers, suburban households, farming families and those living in rural regionsof Tasmania are increasingly embracing solar and wind power to meet their energy needs.
The team from Energy Matters Tasmanian branch will be again attending this years Agfest to demonstrate and provide free information regarding wind power, solar hot water and solar power for residential and commercial purposes. The team will answer questions from people regarding the application renewable energy for their particular situation.
Energy Matters will also have all the latest information on financial incentives for solar power and in celebration of the event, the team is currently running Agfest special solar offers for Tasmanian residents and businesses.
Agfest 2010 is being held on the 6th, 7th & 8th of May at Quercus Rural Youth Park, on Oaks Road between Carrick and Bracknell, south-west of Launceston (between Launceston and Devonport), in Tasmania. The opening times for Agfest patrons are 8:00am to 5:00pm each day, with car parks open from 6:30am. The Energy Matters stand will be at site S01, located on South Street.
