A message from Roshan

There are so many facets of Australia’s road to net zero, and episode 2 was a fantastic example of how so many aspects of our lives can be improved with the technology and services available to us.

James Treble was host extraordinaire in this episode, travelling across Australia’s East to bring us three exciting segments. Momentum Energy’s headquarters in Melbourne showcased how each individual can make small changes to reduce their energy bills and their carbon footprint. Goodbye Gas is an outstanding service that enables households to electrify their home.

Visiting Greenscapes Nursery in VIC, James got the chance to check out a really exciting FranklinWH battery installation. Blackout protection has never been more relevant for me and so many other Aussies. The Franklin Whole Home system ticks all the boxes for homes wanting to truly take control of their energy usage. Finally, James headed home to NSW to see the fascinating manufacturing process that brings us Weathertex cladding. An Aussie business that can boast of its better-than-carbon-neutral status is something I tip my hat to. What an inspiring business and a challenge set for others in the industry.

Not to outdo James, but I travelled all the way to China for my tour of a truly exciting step in renewable energy. Hydrogen energy, while in its infancy, has enormous potential to change our energy landscape. LAVO is investing in this technology and showing us how hydrogen can be produced at scale.

It was so inspiring to see the technology being developed here and overseas. Our world is making tangible and practical steps to a better future, and regular Aussies have the opportunity to jump on board! We can each make a difference, whether it be choosing sustainable products like Weathertex’s cladding or electrifying our home and taking a hold of our own energy usage and production.

No doubt the inspiration will continue in next week’s episode of Energy Matters. Bring on episode 3!
