Energy Matters Episode 1

What a way to begin a series! Episode 1 of Energy Matters showcased some of the industry’s most exciting products and services. GoodWe, Momentum Energy, Savic Motorcycles, and AIKO were the focus. We explored the incredible Forever Reef Project in Queensland, where GoodWe donated an inverter and battery storage system that is helping to preserve our Great Barrier Reef.

Community living was in the spotlight as we saw Nightingale House utilising Momentum Energy’s Corporate Power Purchase Agreement (CPPA) to power a mammoth residential building. Finally, Roshan toured AIKO’s epic manufacturing facilities in China, where their world-leading solar panels are produced.

A message from Roshan

Wow! I was absolutely blown away by the manufacturers and brands featured in our inaugural episode. I knew that this series would be awe-inspiring, but I had no idea just how incredible a walk behind the scenes would be.

Dean and the team at The Forever Reef Project are living legends. It was fascinating, to say the least, to see how the sun can fully power something so important. The team at GoodWe is to be commended for investing in such a vital project for our ecosystem and the future of the reef.

There are often so many questions that enter my mind when I think about community living. How can people from so many different walks of life work together to create a communal living space? The team at Nightingale Housing, Breathe Architecture, and Momentum Energy have created a space in which individuals and families can grow and thrive. Momentum Energy’s PPA (power purchase agreement) provides all Aussies with the opportunity to tap into renewables, such as wind and hydro, in a way that fully covers all their usage. Truly sustainable living in a situation where most buildings of its kind would not be able to achieve such an outcome otherwise.

Travelling to China and visiting AIKO’s facilities was nothing short of breathtaking. Their manufacturing plant is state-of-the-art, and the high level of engineering that goes into making a humble (but absolutely stunning) solar panel can not be overstated. A massive thank you to the team in AIKO China for their hospitality – once you see this tour, you’ll understand why I chose AIKO Solar panels for my own home!

I cannot wait for you all to see what episode 2 has in store. Stay tuned for next week’s epic episode.
