However far you travel, a reliable power source is an essential requirement for providing optimum onboard comfort. This necessity becomes even greater in remote places where the power supply is less dependable. Power Control
Shore power is often available at a limited amperage. The optional remote panel (B) allows the user to inform the MultiPlus of the shore power limit in harbor, the MultiPlus will then control the charging output to work within the limits of the shore cord. As more power is used for onboard circuits the charger outputautomatically reduces to avoid overload
Power Assist
With a MultiPlus, power management goes one step further. In the event that the onboard load exceeds the available shore power, the inverter function works in parallel with the shore connection to boost the total energy available and avoidoverload. This works just the same with a generator.
The ultimate battery charger
As a battery charger, the MultiPlus offers the ultimate in programmable sophistication. The four stage adaptive charge characteristic, unique to Victron Energy, ensures that each and every charge cycle delivers exactly what the battery needs. Using VE Configure set up software it is possible to modify charge characteristic and parameters to suit any type or size of battery.
Adaptive 4-stage charging
The MultiPlus identifies how much energy remains in the battery at the beginning of each cycle. The charge parameters are then adapted to deliver exactly what is needed no more and no less. This process ensures fast, complete charging without causing damage through overcharging. Properly charged batteries will last.
Temperature Sensor
The temperature sensor supplied with the product may be used for temperature compensated charging. The sensor is insulated and must be mounted on the batteries minus pole. Default output voltages for Float and Absorption are at 25°C. In adjust mode temperature compensation is disabled.
