Solar in Schools program update

The Clean Energy Council has today been advised by the Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts, that the following will apply to the *Solar in Schools program* of $480.6 million.

1. Of the $50,000 per school in Australia, *ALL may be allocated to solar PV, * where the unit is a minimum of 2kW.

2. If a school does not wish to install PV at all, the grant is limited to $30,000 for other energy efficiencies and water saving initiatives.

In addition, the RECs generated as a result of the PV will be registered to the school.

We are told that their new webpage will be available in about a fortnight.
