Benefits to the community
The operational headquarters features industrial solar panel installation across the rooftops of its factory. The Tuas installation will feed around 2.6 million kWh annually into Singapore’s electricity grid, enough to power 550 HDB four-room apartments.
The solar panels will save 1,400 tons of carbon emissions every year – the equivalent of planting 64,000 trees or taking almost 300 cars off the road – and further reduce the already low carbon footprint of REC solar panels.

Since establishing the operational headquarters, the facility has been recognised by the Singapore Building and Construction Authority (BCA) as going above and beyond industry standards, whilst Fluor provided engineering, procurement, and construction management services to ensure world-renowned product quality is achieved.
Receiving the ‘Green Mark’ from BCA demonstrates how the facility meets the criteria for energy efficiency, project development, and environmental protection and innovation.
