REC Group’s Integrated Solar Manufacturing Complex In Singapore Continues To Lead The Way

As supply chain challenges continue to develop around the world, REC is grateful for its consistent and reliable connection to the Singapore manufacturing facility.

REC Group’s integrated solar production facility in Tuas officially opened in 2010 and has since become one of the world’s largest solar manufacturing complexes.

As Singapore continues to lead the way in emerging technological advancements, it is important for REC Group to manufacture solar panels in a world-class location.

State-of-the-art facilities

REC Group has seen its Scandinavian heritage expand across regional hubs in North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific, with its state-of-the-art operational headquarters in Singapore.

Committed to manufacturing excellence, the plant produces solar wafers, cells, and modules for customers worldwide with an outstanding level of control and excellence, through Industry 4.0 technology. Autonomous, intelligent robots produce REC Group’s solar panels, drastically reducing the risk of human error and setting the standard for its competitors.

Benefits to the community

The operational headquarters features industrial solar panel installation across the rooftops of its factory. The Tuas installation will feed around 2.6 million kWh annually into Singapore’s electricity grid, enough to power 550 HDB four-room apartments.

The solar panels will save 1,400 tons of carbon emissions every year – the equivalent of planting 64,000 trees or taking almost 300 cars off the road – and further reduce the already low carbon footprint of REC solar panels.

Trusted, award-winning Singapore tech excellence

Since establishing the operational headquarters, the facility has been recognised by the Singapore Building and Construction Authority (BCA) as going above and beyond industry standards, whilst Fluor provided engineering, procurement, and construction management services to ensure world-renowned product quality is achieved.

Receiving the ‘Green Mark’ from BCA demonstrates how the facility meets the criteria for energy efficiency, project development, and environmental protection and innovation.

A trusted, ethical manufacturing process from start to finish ensures all of REC Group’s consumers feel confident in their decision to purchase world-class products for their residential, commercial, and industrial installations.
