PowerRouter Solar Inverter With Island Mode
These 3.0, 3.7 and 5.0kW inverters by Dutch company Nedap Energy Systems feature "island mode" technology - allowing you to keep power supplied to your home or business even during a blackout!
Traditional solar inverters shut down as a safety precaution during power outages to ensure a solar power system isn't continuing to export electricity to the grid while crews are working on repairing the problem.
However, in blackout conditions, PowerRouter's island mode feature will engage in under a second, isolating the system from the mains grid while ensuring you a stable electricity supply for your appliances; assuming there is sufficient solar power available.
Under normal operation, you can also select the most cost-effective energy mode, either
allowing the PowerRouter Solar Inverter to export your generated solar
electricity into the mains grid or for use by your premises.
The PowerRouter can be also be easily expanded to allow for the addition of a battery bank - making your home or business premises even more disaster proof!
With 2 fully independent MPP trackers to maximize yield, this feature can also accommodate two separate solar arrays at maximum string length.
Additionally, you can monitor your system's performance wherever you have an Internet connection with the myPowerRouter web portal, which also allows you to remotely update your PowerRouter with new firmware containing the latest features so your system is always up to date.
