The Royal Automobile Club of Victoria (RACV) was established in 1903 and throughout its long history, the organisation has maintained its position as a respected Victorian icon.
Situated on 10 hectares of meticulously landscaped grounds, RACV Cobram Resort accommodation offers apartments, self-contained cabins and a 4.5 star caravan park.
An Energy Matters designed 20.3 kW solar power system was installed at RACV Cobram Resort in early 2014.
In addition to REC solar panels, SMA inverters and Australian-made SunLock mounting systems (produced by Energy Matters’ sister company, Apollo Energy), the system features a Solar-Log monitoring solution.
Solar Log not only displays system performance in real-time and in daily, monthly, annual and total overviews, it also helps to keep a commercial solar array producing at its maximum. By analysing actual system performance against expected output in addition to leveraging inverter data logging; potential performance issues can be identified before they occur.
The system is performing above expectations so far, as shown by this Solar Log graph.
As with all our commercial projects, Energy Matters handled all required applications and paperwork (Grid Connection Application, Electrical Works Request, Certificate of Electrical Safety, Solar Connections Form, etc.) in order to minimise the lead time to connection and generation of power.
“RACV have been assessing the value of solar for a number of years and we are delighted that they have decided to purchase a high quality system with REC panels and SMA inverters,” says Nick Brass; co-founder of Energy Matters.
Energy Matters has installed over 15,000 systems, of which over 500 systems are in the commercial range.
