– In a powerful symbolic gesture by President Barack Obama, US Secretary of Energy Steven Chu announced that a solar photovoltaic system as well as solar hot water will be installed on the roof of the White House next year. Read more

–  Today’s solar panels usually have a warranty period of about twenty five years; but if solar panels of the past are anything to go by, a far longer life can be expected. Read more.
