– Twenty three year old British inventor, Emily Cummins, was judged as one of the world’s top young inventors by a jury of Nobel Prize winners. Cummins won awards in both the design and engineering categories for her portable solar fridge and water carrying device. Read more.
  
– One of the world’s most prolific inventors, Thomas Edison, understood the importance of solar power in the world’s energy mix, as well as the danger of relying too heavily on fossil fuels. Read more.
  
– Suntech and Calisolar Inc have signed a letter of intent to construct a solar silicon manufacturing plant in Ontario, Canada. Read more.
