Yingli Solar has announced a partnership with Push Energy Ltd. to supply solar modules for four large-scale PV solar farms in the UK.

Yingli Solar has announced a partnership with Push Energy Ltd. to supply solar modules for four large-scale PV solar farms in the UK.

The projects will be located in East Anglia and will be completed by February 2015. Yingli YGE multicrystalline solar panels will be used for the four plants.

“Solar PV farms have an important role to play in the U.K.’s long-term energy security. Working with strong partners such as Yingli Green Energy is critical to our vision for the future. The company has provided invaluable support and hands-on practical advice which has allowed us to complete all projects to a very tight time schedule,” said Mr. Jason Wallis, Finance Director of Push Energy.

Mr. Liansheng Miao, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Yingli Green Energy, said the partnership supports Yingli’s long term commitment to the UK; where it sees sustainable growth potential in the years ahead.

The company has been very active in the UK this year. In February, Yingli Solar announced it would supply a total of 54 MW of  modules to seven projects in the south of England and Wales. Yingli Solar Panda Series solar panels have also been used in a 5.8 MW rooftop project in the Midlands completed in May.

In other recent news from the company, Yingli announced earlier this month it is supplying more than 2 MW of Yingli Panda modules to Japan Benex Corporation for use at Benex Nagareyama Solar Port, which will be one of the largest solar projects on a rented rooftop in Japan when completed.

Yingli Solar is the world’s largest manufacturer of panels and has shipped more than 10,000 MW of PV modules – more than 40 million panels – to customers worldwide, including Australia; where they are a popular choice for home solar power systems
