ARENA is now in partnership with an online marketplace linking renewable energy projects with investors. ARENA says CleanTek Market will accelerate the global rise of clean technology.
“CleanTek Market is a growing ecosystem, which will give ARENA access to a global cleantech audience,” ARENA said in a media statement.
“The partnership will providing a channel for international experts and investors to access ARENA-supported technologies and projects.”
CleanTek Market will allow ARENA to:
- Connect with innovative clean and renewable energy projects.
- Find cleantech projects, clean energy entrepreneurs and project developers.
- Find cleantech suppliers to help deliver clean technology projects.
- Connect with investors to raise funds for projects or clean technology.
- Find great opportunities to provide cleantech grants and funds for cleantech projects.
ARENA says it hopes the partnership will mobilise cleantech projects across Australia.
CleanTek Market: Connecting finance with new clean technologies
According to CleanTek Market, its goal is to create a global clean technology platform.
“The platform connects clean technologies, projects and organisations with finance and other market participants,” CleanTech Market states.
“We use smart algorithms to create an open and secure clean technology ecosystem to efficiently transact clean technology deals.
“We have a growing database of organisations and partners from Asia, Europe, Australia and the Americas […] We facilitate the aggregation and curation of projects, companies, tenders and grants.
“The platform manages all aspects of the relationship from the initial pitch, managing deal flow and finding the right technology, project or company.”
ARENA’s new investment funding priorities
Earlier this month, ARENA announced its new investment funding priorities.
The plan, titled ‘Innovating Energy’, set out four new priorities:
- Delivering a secure and reliable electricity system
- Accelerating solar PV innovation
- Improving energy productivity
- Exporting renewable energy
At the same time, ARENA launched A-lab to develop renewable energy innovation.
A-lab is an innovation and collaboration laboratory series bringing together clean energy stakeholders.
It includes start-ups, major grid companies and energy providers.
