An Energy Matters-designed 20.3 kW solar power system was installed at RACV Cobram Resort in early 2014.

Along with REC solar panels, SMA inverters, and Australian-made SunLock mounting systems (produced by Energy Matters’ sister company, Apollo Energy), the system included a Solar-Log monitoring solution.

Solar Log not only displayed system performance in real time and in daily, monthly, annual, and total overviews, but also helped optimise a commercial solar array to keep it producing at its best. By analysing actual system performance against expected output and using inverter data logging, potential performance issues can be identified before they happen.

The system was performing above expectations, as shown by this Solar Log graph.

As with all our commercial projects, Energy Matters handled all required applications and paperwork (Grid Connection Application, Electrical Works Request, Certificate of Electrical Safety, Solar Connections Form, etc.) to minimise the lead time to connection and power generation.

“RACV has been assessing the value of solar for a number of years, and we are delighted that they have decided to purchase a high-quality system with REC panels and SMA inverters,” says Nick Brass, co-founder of Energy Matters.
