ATRAA, Australia's largest solar industry conference, will take place at the Alice Springs Convention Centre this week.

ATRAA, Australia’s largest solar industry conference, will take place at the Alice Springs Convention Centre this week.

ATRAA stands for the Appropriate Technology Retailers Association of Australia and has been running for 33 years. The event attracts local and international solar industry business leaders, suppliers and installers, students, trainers, teachers and manufacturers.

The event is run by the Clean Energy Council (CEC) and provides the clean energy industry a forum to share ideas, tackle key policy issues and discuss foreign investment barriers. The event also showcases best practice within the industry, disseminates information on government policies and outline CEC’s contributions to the industry.

This year’s program includes talks on the future of the Australian solar PV industry, RET implementation and the current state of the Australian solar PV sector. Site visits to Crowne Plaza, Alice Springs Solar Cities Airport Project, Bushlight and Desert Knowledge Australia Solar Centre will occur and the conference will also play host to the Clean Energy Australia Industry Awards 2010

Energy Matters will be represented at ATRAA this year by parent company Apollo Energy. The Apollo team will be showcasing the company’s revolutionary Sunlock solar panel mounting systems, Sanyo HIT solar modules and its range of newly arrived REC solar panels. REC Solar modules are a popular choice for home solar power systems in Europe and Energy Matters is the first Australian stockist of REC solar panels for the local home solar power market.

Energy Matters has been Australia’s trusted source of renewable energy news and education since 2005. We offer free services: providing free solar quotes, free battery quotes, and connecting home and business owners with local and pre-vetted installers.

“Energy Matters believes in a clean energy future. Australia’s road to electrification will be paved with solar, battery, and other renewable energy tech adoption – from households to industry. Our goal is to see Australia move towards net-zero” – Roshan Ramnarain, CEO of Energy Matters
