Meet our guest
Jesse Clark serves as the Executive General Manager of Assets and Infrastructure at Hydro Tasmania, overseeing the state’s extensive hydropower network. His leadership encompasses the management of 30 power stations and 52 dams, ensuring their reliability and efficiency.
Clark has spearheaded significant projects, including the $78 million refurbishment of the Gordon Power Station, Tasmania’s largest renewable energy generator. This complex undertaking involved intricate engineering and logistical planning, as the power station is located 183 metres underground.

He also led the $11.5 million upgrade of the King Island wind farm, enhancing its role as a model for remote renewable energy systems. This project focused on repowering existing turbines and integrating them with solar and battery storage to reduce diesel reliance.
Additionally, Clark has been instrumental in the Edgar Dam upgrade, collaborating with local contractors to strengthen the dam’s resilience while adhering to stringent environmental controls in the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area.
Under Clark’s guidance, Hydro Tasmania continues to advance its infrastructure, reinforcing the state’s position as a leader in renewable energy.
