We started DC Power Co with energy plans offering attractive rates for solar homes and 100% carbon offset energy via our partner Powershop. These plans are still on offer via the DC Power Co website.
The next challenge for the team was helping homes with the issue of reliability. With increasing grid pressure forcing increasing outages, and growing exports forcing feed in tariffs down, solar batteries are an ideal solution. Yet much of what was available to the average Australian was out of reach. And well-known batteries like the Tesla offered more energy storage than the average household actually needed – or could afford.
So at DC Power Co, we put together one of the most affordable battery packages in Australia and launched this in November 2019.
