Solarfun – Odd Name, Great Solar Panels

The name Solarfun to some people is reminiscent of good times at the beach rather than high quality solar power components. Nevertheless, that's exactly what Solarfun products are - and at a very economical price.

Melbourne, Victoria, January 18, 2010. What’s in a name? In a world where a name can mean a great deal in business; Solarfun stirs up all sorts of reactions.

The solar panel manufacturer, which began delivering modules in 2004, is already one of China’s largest and recently announced a major expansion during 2010 to meet burgeoning demand for its products.

According to Max Sylvester, co-founder of national solar power solutions provider Energy Matters, some Australians still get caught up on the odd name.

“The name Solarfun to some people is reminiscent of good times at the beach rather than high quality solar power components. Nevertheless, that’s exactly what Solarfun products are – and at a very economical price.”

Mr. Sylvester says that some large solar companies in Australia change the Solarfun name to their own.

“People would be surprised to learn who in the industry is selling these panels under their own brand name rather than Solarfun’s. For particularly budget-conscious home solar power shoppers, Solarfun represents great value and performance for the investment involved and can really reduce the price of a system when government rebates are also taken into account.”

Mr Sylvester’s opinion is based on his own experience as well as that of Energy Matters’ installers.

“My own solar power system at home uses SolarFun panels. Along with market leading and well known brands such as Suntech, Sanyo and Sharp, Energy Matters has been offering Solarfun as a system option for a couple of years now and from the huge numbers of panels we’ve sold, warranty returns have been very, very few. We have also included Solarfun panels as a choice in our instant online quoting system.”

Customers of Energy Matters who purchase SolarFun panels are receiving a special bonus from SolarFun during January and February. When ordering systems with 170 watt panels, the company is supplying 175 watt panels at no extra cost.

Solarfun solar panels are supported by a 25-year warranty and all modules are certified by TUV, CE, UL, and CEC worldwide certifications; as well as meeting all Australian and European quality and safety standards.
