Energy Matters Takes Its Solar Power Revolution To Perth

Backed by a professional installation network of one hundred qualified electricians, national solar power solutions provider Energy Matters‘ new Perth branch is already helping many Western Australian households make the switch to solar before generous incentives are reduced.

Energy Matters’ West Osborne Park facility is the latest addition to the company’s growing presence throughout the nation. Account Manager Karl Jensen and Warehouse Manager Luke Beattie are supported by a local and well-established expert team of installers from Matera Electrical; founded by ex-West Coast Eagles star player, Phillip Matera.

The timing of the new Energy Matters branch being established is fortuitous, with a rush to install solar currently under way in Perth and other regions of Western Australia after the State Government’s recent announcement to slash the solar feed in tariff rate for new applications from July 1.

According to Energy Matters’ CEO, Jeremy Rich, “Energy Matters is committed to assisting households throughout the nation in joining the solar power revolution. Given how close the deadline for the WA solar feed in tariff reduction is, we’re offering fantastic deals on quality solar power systems so as many Western Australians as possible can lock in the current generous rate.”

The state’s solar feed in tariff initiative, which pays participants for surplus electricity produced by their solar panels, will be slashed from 40c per kilowatt hour to 20c for applications to join the program received after June 30, 2011. Additionally, the Western Australian government has also imposed an overall cap on the scheme. Eligible households and businesses putting down a deposit on a system and submitting an application prior to that date will receive the higher rate; assuming the cap is not reached prior to the end of June.

Mr. Rich says the reception Energy Matters has received has been very encouraging and the company is thrilled in the level of interest from Western Australians looking to buffer against spiralling electricity costs and decrease their carbon footprint.

“We had been carrying out installations in Western Australia for some time before opening an official local presence and many people in Perth were already aware of our company through our website at www.energymatters.com.au; one of Australia’s most popular online resources for solar power information. We look forward to further strengthening our ties with the Perth and wider Western Australia community.”
