Melbourne’s Sustainable Living Festival is still in full swing, with the Festival’s Main Event to be held at Federation Square in Melbourne on 19-21 February.
The aim of the free festival is to to inspire Australians to accelerate the uptake of sustainable living at a grassroots level and also showcases solutions to the ecological, energy and social challenges the nation faces.
In 2009, the Festival at Federation Square attracted over 124,000 visits, engaged more than 450 community volunteers, showcased over 150 exhibitors and presented more than 300 talks, workshops and performances. Now in its eleventh year, organisers Sustainable Living Foundation are predicting an even bigger turnout this weekend with even more interactive workshops, talks, demonstrations, artworks, exhibits, films and live performances.
The team from Energy Matters will be at the Festival Main Event and displaying the latest in solar power systems for home and commercial applications. Energy Matters’ booth can be found along the river promenade near Swanston Street.
The team will be on hand to answer questions from people regarding the application of solar power for their particular situation along with providing the latest information on financial incentives for solar power; such as the Solar Credits program and Victoria’s feed-in-tariff.
People visiting the Energy Matters booth will also be able to take advantage of two very special Festival-only promotions to help make it even more affordable to make the switch to solar power.
