Since June, nearly 1,200 people have joined the group – The Energy Savers Social Club (TESSC).

Members receive a free advice on energy efficiency, a monthly newsletter, are invited to free get-together events and are eligible for special energy-related offers through the club’s partners.

The newest partner to establish a relationship with the group is Melbourne-based award-winning solar provider Energy Matters.

Nick Brass, General Manager Marketing, will be attending the following upcoming member events to explain Energy Matters’ TESSC member offer – a free Energy Matters Power Monitor valued at $949 for members who order solar power system from the company before November 30.

The recently unveiled Energy Matters Power Monitor provides system owners with real time monitoring of their solar panel array’s electricity production and household electricity consumption. The system consists of a wireless device installed near the meter box and a user friendly online interface accessible via a home computer, notebook or handheld device.

“Our system is about putting power back in the hands of people, rather than them needing to guess and brace themselves each time they receive an electricity bill,” says Energy Matters CEO, Jeremy Rich. Through raising awareness of when and how much electricity is being consumed, users of the Energy Matters Power Monitor can match consumption to solar electricity production or shift energy usage to times when electricity is cheaper.
